John A. Reitmeier | John A. Reitmeier was born June 9, 1918, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reitmeier. John lived in Delanco as a youth. He joined the US Army Air Corp during WWII and served as a navigator on a B-24 Liberator bomber in Europe. His plane was shot down over France. Initially listed as Missing in Action, John had been taken prisoner. He was liberated by Allied forces. He earned the rank of Lieutenant by the end of his service. He married Kathrine M. Dougherty in 1967. John died December 2, 2000. Katherine died on April 14, 2015.
